Sara Brown
My work deals primarily with memory and social issues. Sometimes deadly serious, sometimes playful, I tell stories from the past which resonate in our times. Essentially a mixed media artist I increasingly use cloth to tell my stories. I use various surface design techniques to manipulate the material. Silk screening, pen score, photo transfer, direct writing, and applique play a part in making the work my own vision.
