Ginny Smith
I love a good story and make art to tell stories. My vocabulary comes from quilt making traditions, historical embroidery, and outsider art. I fashion visual narratives from experiences with the natural world, myths, and tales from the past. Fascinated by the sight of pigeons wheeling in the sky, I put flocks of birds on my quilts, there to comment on modern life and current events. It's all in the story."
