Linda Colsh

My art examines the notion of control and relationships between the individual and society. I explore humanist themes that focus on aspects of growing old: invisibility, solitude, isolation, privacy, identity, and concepts of what is beautiful (or not). My process combines digitally altered street photography with surface design and simple stitching on white or black fabrics. I try to balance information inspired by my time in Asia, Europe and America with my imagined narratives and what I leave unsaid for the viewer to draw from the artwork.
