Formed in 1980, New Image is composed of studio quilt artists working in various styles, techniques, and media. Individual members' works have appeared in well respected juried shows including Quilt national, Visions, The Art of the Quilt, and Full Deck Art Quilts. Members' work is in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, Syracuse University, and Agrilink Foods. As a group, the members of New Image have collaborated on many pieces and these have been exhibited and published in many venues.
